I speak as a person who has graduated from divinity school so I don’t have a bias against seminaries and the like. I happen to, however, has a big problem with the way seminaries are training the next generation of leaders. I’m running into way too many folks who understand the mechanics of an exegetical paper but do not understand how to break the Bread of Life for people who may not understand hermeneutical jargon.
Maybe that’s why the dream to create a cutting edge (yes, that’s cliched) still burns hot in my heart. Over the next several days, I will be writing about some changes I want to see so that people who pay their hard earned money are equipped to do what God has called them to do.
