New York State of Mind

It’s official!  I am moving to New York!  I am so excited about what God is going to do.  Right now, however, the big challenge is working through all the emotional drama of transition.

Leaders, make no mistake: change hurts, even when that change is God-ordained.  It’s messy, especially when you work with teens who are telling you that you are “abandoning” them.

But what keeps me pressing forward is the vision God has given me for my tiny part in the kingdom.  Above all else, I must follow hard after the Spirit of God and walk through the door He’s opened for me.

As much as I love the people I’m leaving behind, I am compelled to press toward what God has for me.

I wonder what God is up to in New York anyways? 🙂
