The Silence of “In-Between”

The silence of God does not equal the inactivity of God. On Holy Saturday, Christians commemorate the day between the seeming crushing defeat of God-Incarnate and the “victory” of the life-thief himself. When the life-thief thought he had defeated God and thwarted the redemptive His redemptive purposes for humanity, the angels of heaven were planning a party before the throne of God because they understand what we humans on this side of eternity do not: God was at work. If we glean nothing else from this momentous day, let it be this: God speaks through unseen activity on your behalf.
